I Made This
Surprise! An early comic.
Also, this is a reminder that I will have a table at Chromacon this Sunday, and I will also be speaking at a webcomics panel with Dylan Horrocks (Hicksville), Li Chen (Extra Ordinary), and Tim Gibson (Moth City)!
This. Is. Hilarious. That guy is pretentious.
*crickets*
Just went through your whole archive, awesome stuff there man.
I think it was pussy and a cock, and since his a guy, he likes…. You know
Cursing to a child? Hah!
OMG!! YOU KNOW LI CHEN!! I CANT EVEN!! D:
*oodling with awe and envy*
I read every single one of your comics. It’s amazing to know what you started at around three years ago and have come to rise to this. You are pretty much famous now. It’s people like you that inspire me.
Congratulations on how successful you have become on your comics and everything else.
-Micheal.
-Also A big fan.
I love the expectant look on the kid’s face while he waits for another potential compliment. Loved this one.
Just Awesome.
These are still awesome! love these comics
Do you know how many visitors your site gets?
I actually thought the chicken looked better than the bunny… But oh well, maybe just me.
Also, is this a reference to how some people were criticizing your last comic?
O_O is true!! but the firt drawing had to be a cat
Saw you at chromacon. You have some BRILLIANT comics. 😀
This is priceless! I think the kid’s bucktooth makes this!
Awww! The last panel reminds me of my childhood. I really need to call my dad more often… And my therapist.
Whats with the two comics dealing with chickens?
Maybe he just didn’t like that the picture was an orange chicken? O.O
First time commenter. I literally laughed my ass off at the last panel. First time for everything. Love your comments but first time i have been truly forced to express emotion in quite a while. Well done sir.
Haha *sigh* Comics not comments.
As a parent of a 4 year old this made me spit out my coffee. Good stuff Gregor. BTW everyone who sees my “Happy New Enthusiasm” sweater cracks up when they see it, had a few ask me where I got it.
Maybe not so direct/blunt, but I subscribe to this school of child raising. By all means, tell kids when they’ve done good, but acting like they’re super special and everything they do is fantastic is just going to crush their little dreams when they grow up and realise how utterly mediocre they really are. And no junior, you will (most likely) never be an astronaut.
So that said, I really liked the joke here, and the art and expressions really sell how disappointed the little kid is at the end. Great stuff, this one goes on the fridge!
I think it is important to distinguish what you are rewarding/supporting. I reward effort and pride in work – even if they make something that is a bit shoddy (like some clay bowls) if the evidence that they did their best I’ll absolutely praise it, especially if they are actively trying to get better at whatever it is.
Learning that something doesn’t have to be good first try and to stick to things which are important is a critical skill to learn. Too many people give up too quickly.
Well I think what he is getting at is that you should encourage your kids but let them know they can do better and not to feed them support for something they will ultimately fail at
This got deep
Man, I wish I could come see you at that event, but I live nowhere near you.
Your characters are so darn cute. I always feel bad when something sad happens to them. 🙁
o’.’o Y U do this, man? The ending was so saddening… It was funny though x)
This is shit.
(someone had to)
I do indeed appreciate (all) your comics – no hard feelings about the last one 😉
oh my gosh little blue is so cute!!!
The way you drew that kid is just too adorable! Love the tooth.
Please stay the wonderful artist you are. Loving your work.
Sometimes, your best just isn’t enough.
MOAR BUNNIES!
Pink rabbits are better than orange chickens.
And green flamingos are the best.
What you did there… I see it.
I love it! Keep the good stuff coming, man.
I get it. Your last comic with the chicken and all.
Haha, I get it. Your last comic.
Poor kid
Hey, I like the … uh … cock
That was fast! You were active this week weren’t you?
Haha. I get it. Your last comic.
Haha, poor little guy! At least he’s honest.
Awesome work, haha! And great news for you! Speaking at a comic event! 🙂
